PLCBytes

About PLCBytes

PLCBytes is an independent project with one goal: make the everyday parts of Modbus work quicker. Reading a float that comes out as nonsense, finding out whether a register is 40001 or 0, checking a CRC on site — these are small problems that cost a lot of time when you are standing next to a cabinet with a laptop or a phone.

Each tool does one job, shows a filled-in example when it opens, and explains the result in plain words. All calculations run in your browser, so you can paste values from customer equipment without uploading them anywhere.

What is coming

The register decoder is the first tool. Address conversion, value encoding, a CRC-16 calculator, a frame decoder and a reference of function and exception codes follow, together with register maps of common meters, inverters and drives.
